Send flowers to Hua Hin หัวหิน
Hua Hin is a long, low coastal town on one main road. Its soi numbers climb as you go south toward Khao Takiab, and that is the quickest way to place an address.

A district, not just a town
Hua Hin is a district (อำเภอ, amphoe) of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, about 199 km south-south-west of Bangkok. The postcode is 77110. The district is divided into seven sub-districts, called ตำบล (tambon), and 63 villages. Because this is not Bangkok, you use amphoe and tambon in the address, not khet and khwaeng.
Villages show up as หมู่ (moo) numbers. In a villa estate or a gated housing project you will often see "Moo 7" or similar in the middle of the address. That number is administrative: it does not tell you which direction to drive. Ask for the project name and the house number.
The town forms the core of a wider Cha-am to Hua Hin urban area, so a recipient who says "Hua Hin" can live a good way from the centre.
Reading the road: Petchkasem and the soi numbers
The main artery is Petchkasem Road, which runs through the town parallel to the coast. Sois in the south have high numbers. Soi 112 is opposite Khao Takiab beach and about 300 metres from Petchkasem, and numbers such as Soi 116 and Soi 122 are also in that southern area. So when a recipient writes a high number, you can place them toward the Takiab end of the beach, not in the middle of town.
This is a different logic from Pattaya, where you navigate by Beach Road and its parallel roads, or from Bangkok, where Sukhumvit alternates odd and even sides. In Hua Hin the number itself is the clue. Copy it exactly, including any slash part.
When the order includes a landmark, choose one that is permanent: the railway station, Khao Takiab, or a named resort. Use that rather than a restaurant that may have closed.
Landmarks that anchor an address
- Hua Hin railway station: in Hua Hin sub-district, around 850 metres from the beach. The Southern Line station opened in 1911 and its present building dates from 1926, with a Victorian look. The station reopened as an elevated structure on 11 December 2023. It is often called the most beautiful station in Thailand.
- Khao Takiab: a limestone hill about 7 km south of the town, 270 metres high, which marks the southern end of the beach. It is nicknamed Chopstick Hill, or Monkey Mountain for the macaques at the temple on top. A large Buddha sculpture stands at the foot.
- Klai Kangwon palace: the summer residence of King Rama VII, a sign of how long the town has been a royal seaside retreat.
The town was one of the first beach resorts in the country, which shows in its older villas along the coast road and in its newer condominium blocks.
Hotels, resort villas and who accepts the flowers
Resorts in Hua Hin usually have a large estate with a gate, a lobby and rooms spread across gardens. Give the guest name, the room or villa number if known, and the resort name. If you only know the resort, add the main road it sits on. Our hotel and condo guide covers what to ask the recipient to arrange.
Private houses in a village project are different: there may be a guard post at the entrance who calls the owner. A phone number on the order is more useful than extra description.
If you are sending for a special event rather than a visit, check the card text first with our card wording guide.
Seasons and events
The dry season runs from December to April. The monsoon peaks from September to November. In the rain, a quick delivery to a villa with a long driveway is a practical matter, so mention any covered drop point.
The Hua Hin Jazz City event is held with more than 40 venues around town. The 2026 edition ran from 29 May to 1 June, with the whole city used as a stage. Dates for the next edition are announced by the organisers, so check before ordering around it.
Hua Hin's visitor numbers rose by about six percent a year from 2014 to 2019.
